We were thrilled to host the inaugural SexSense event on 16th February 2024, a landmark gathering that brought together passionate advocates, researchers, and practitioners from across the globe. This pioneering event, held at Atelier 29 in Brussels, marked a significant milestone in our collective journey to advance comprehensive sexuality education worldwide.
Attendees then engaged in vibrant discussions, shared invaluable insights, and forged new collaborations, all centred around our shared commitment to fostering informed and empowered communities.
Key sessions included impactful presentations from our keynote speakers on the State of the Art of CSE in Europe, expertly moderated by Cloé Saint Nom, with insightful contributions from Alice Valenza, Drashko Kostovski, Nahia Idoiaga, and Kristien Michielsen. We also explored crucial funding opportunities for 2024, with Ángela Martínez-Carrasco Martínez outlining the CERV Programme, and Maja Brkusanin covering Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and International Cooperation.
A highlight of the day was the engaging Ideas Showcase, designed to spark interest, foster collaboration, and facilitate perfect matches for future projects. In the afternoon, SexSense Working Groups participated in productive brainstorming sessions. The energy throughout the event was truly inspiring, solidifying our belief in the transformative power of open dialogue and shared purpose.
The success of the 2024 event laid a strong foundation for the future of SexSense, demonstrating the vital need for a dedicated platform where knowledge can be exchanged and progress can be accelerated. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to making our first event such a resounding success.

Costs
The event was free of charge.
Travel, accommodation costs and networking dinner should be covered by participants.
