Who we are

SexSense is a network of:

  • Associations
  • NGOs
  • Public Institutions
  • Universities
  • Research Centres
  • Other networks

led by CESIE – European Centre for Studies and Initiatives, an Italian NGO inspired by the theories and work of sociologist Danilo Dolci. Since 2010, CESIE has been developing workshops, trainings and interventions involving young and adult participants and creating a dynamic and multicultural space to address sexuality-related issues, promote healthy relationships and prevent gender-based violence.

These interventions and CESIE expertise on EU funding schemes laid the groundwork for a European partnership among professionals expert in education, sexual education, intercultural dialogue, and psychology. These enriching experiences led to the creation of a network that could further disseminate these interventions, contribute to the research that informs our actions, and bring systemic change by designing promising projects and initiatives under EU funding schemes.

Our mission is to create a hub of organisations and institutions promoting research and innovative practices on comprehensive sexuality education and capable of spreading them by designing promising projects and actions for different EU funding programmes. We are certain of the added value a global hub of committed organisations and institutions can have in advancing Comprehensive Sexuality Education. If you are willing to become part of our international forum and develop new impactful projects, make your membership request!
